Deacons Ministry

The Deacons Ministry at Pleasant Grove Church supports the spiritual and practical needs of the church body. In partnership with the Pastor, deacons serve as caregivers, helpers, and servants to the congregation, ensuring that families and individuals receive care, encouragement, and support. This ministry is organized to model Christ, promote unity, and help maintain peace throughout all church ministries.

Our Purpose

The purpose of the Deacons Ministry is to serve the church by providing spiritual care, promoting unity, and supporting families in partnership with the Pastor. Through prayer, service, and discipleship, this ministry seeks to reflect the love of Christ and strengthen the body of believers.

Family Care

Each disciple and family is supported through intentional care and connection within the Deacon Family Ministry Plan. Deacons provide encouragement during times of need and celebration during seasons of joy, helping the church live as a true family in Christ.

Spiritual Support

Deacons support the spiritual growth of disciples through guidance, encouragement, and availability. By listening, answering questions, and helping individuals connect to ministry opportunities, deacons assist believers as they grow in faith and service.

Teaching & Discipleship

Deacons serve as teachers during new disciple orientation and foundational faith sessions. These sessions help new members build relationships, understand basic biblical truths, and transition smoothly into life at Pleasant Grove Church.

Prayer & Care

Prayer is central to the work of the Deacons Ministry. Deacons pray for and with individuals and families, offering spiritual support during personal challenges and seeking God’s guidance for every household.

Unity & Peace

Deacons help strengthen unity within the church by offering care, counsel, and presence during times of difficulty. Through visits, prayer, and personal support, deacons seek to demonstrate Christ’s love and encourage believers to follow Him wholeheartedly.
