Sunday's Announcements

This Sunday, April 5th, all PGC family members are invited to fellowship and pray with your assigned Deacon and Deacon Family Group. All PGC members are encouraged to participate and should have received a link for your family group’s dedicated Zoom line. We pray you will be blessed during this time together.

All PGC disciples are reminded to contact their assigned Deacon if you have special prayer requests or other needs. If you cannot reach your assigned Deacon, please reach out to Deacon Ophelia Taylor, Deacon Ministry Chair. If you would like your request shared with the entire PGC family, please let your deacon know.

In an effort to be in compliance with our State and Wake County Stay at Home Proclamations, all PGC gatherings will be rearranged, suspended or postponed until further notice. Please visit to read the full proclamation for the State and visit to read Wake County’s proclamation. If your residence is outside of Wake County, please visit your county’s or city’s website for current information or restrictions related to COVID-19.

Magnificent Prayer Line

In an effort to meet the prayer needs of those who may be watching us via streaming live or Facebook Live on Sundays, we have established Virtual (telephone line) Magnificent Prayer starting April 5, 2020.

One of our Associate Ministers will be available by phone from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. to receive calls from PGC disciples and our guests who would like special prayer.  Please call us at (919) 378-1680.  We know that prayer changes things and that prayer can transform us and our situations.

Tithes and Offerings

You are invited to visit the church website to give your tithes and offerings using the Donate button in top right corner of each page on this website or mail your gifts to the church at our address which is Pleasant Grove Church, P. O. Box 3603, Cary, NC 27519.

Although we may not be physically present at the Grove, the operations of the church continue, and bills must be paid.

Making A Difference In Our Community

We extend a heartfelt thank you to all the PGC disciples and community members who have volunteered at Chatham Forest (Disciple Charlynne Phillips, Lead) and Apex First Baptist Church (Disciple Kim Bragg, Lead) to help in the fight against food insecurity (hunger.)

Under the regional leadership of Minister Karen Morant, Western Region Human Services Director, we are making a difference in community. If you are able to volunteer, please visit our Sign-up Genius or contact the leads for the two sites. We ask for your prayers as we continue our work in the community which is exempted from the current State and County stay at home proclamations.

The Virtual Upper Room
virtual upper room

During Biblical times the Upper Room was a place devoted to prayer and reflection. Whether it is a place or space in our lives, we come to the Upper Room expecting an encounter with Christ.

The Virtual Upper Room will provide a weekly opportunity for united and focused prayer. A published schedule of topics, subject to change based on the global events of the moment, provide a call to action - to pray for the lost, needy and suffering. And our commission - to pray boldly and consistently in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Join us every Tuesday at 7:00 am Eastern Standard Time the call will last approximately 15 minutes. We ask that you will take the focus of the weekly prayer and pray consistently and intently throughout the coming week.

He gives us three lessons or instructions:
  • It is a place of miracles - the birth of the early church, His appearance to the disciples, future answered prayer.
  • It is a place where we glimpse each apostle's and each other's humanity - betrayal, fear, pride, denial.
  • It is a place of service - Jesus washed the disciples' feet. He calls us to love and serve one another. His last commandment became our first responsibility!
